Goeing named 2024 Clark County Distinguished Young Woman

Clark County has a new Distinguished Young Woman (DYW) and her name is Madelyn Goeing.
Goeing won the honor of replacing 2023 Clark County and Kentucky DYW Claire Martin last Saturday at George Rogers Clark High School. She is the daughter of Holly and Stanley Goeing.
Sydney Herringshaw was the 1st runner-up and Brianna Lewis captured 2nd runner-up.
Contestants competed in categories such as talent, fitness and self-expression. The competition emphasizes education, with college and cash scholarships awarded at the state level and millions in college-granted scholarships available. Over $12,000 in scholarships were awarded to the winners last weekend.
The five other contestants were Ella Brock, Emily DeBord, Chloe Galloway, Reagan Hayes and Emmie Rose.

• Self-Expression – Madelyn Goeing and Emmie Rose
• Interview – Sydney Herringshaw, Madelyn Goeing
• Scholastic Runner Ups – Chloe Galloway and Brianna Lewis
• Overall Scholastic Winner – Sydney Herringshaw
• Be Your Best Self – Reagan Hayes
• Woo Hoo Gang Spirit – Chloe Galloway
• Missy Davidson 110% Award – Emily DeBord
• Miss Fara Spirit Award – Ella Brock and Madelyn Goeing
• Donna Fuller Passion Award – Madelyn Goeing
