Amy Sue (Griffin) Berry May 27, 1972 – July 15, 2023

Amy Sue Berry, 51, wife of David A. Berry of Lexington, Kentucky passed away on July 15th after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Amy grew up in Lexington and Winchester. She was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School class of 1991. After marriage she and her husband moved back to Winchester where they raised two wonderful children, April and Dustin. She worked at the Blue Grass Scout Shop for almost a decade, and was the Scout Shop Manager. She enjoyed helping new and old scouters alike. She and her husband David were also very active members of the Solomons Builders Chapter of the Kentucky Widows Sons MRA. They supported local charities like the Zach Attack Ride for Progeria. Amy will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Coleman Griffin. She is survived by her husband, David of 30 years; her daughter, April Willhoite; her son, Dustin (Amber) Berry; four grandchildren; Dakota, Caiden, Allister, and Elaina; as well as her mother, Peggy Sue Griffin; brother, Jeff (Susan) Griffin; sister, Lisa Hill; as well as over 30 nieces and nephews. Amy’s celebration of life, will be held in her honor at Camp McKee in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. We request all of Amy’s loved ones, friends, and Scouting family join us in celebrating her beautiful life at the Camp McKee Scout Reservation on Sunday August 6 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Blue Grass Council BSA in her honor.
