A man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of Thomas Reed.

Twenty-eight-year-old Nathon Miller was arrested in Fayette County on Sunday, July 16, and faces one count of murder, one count of driving under the influence, and instructional permit and parole violations.

Police say that Miller was driving the vehicle that caused the accident on U.S. 60 that killed two-year-old Reed on June 13.

Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies told Lexington media outlets last month that they believed speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.

Miller is lodged at the Clark County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond. His first appearance in court has yet to be scheduled.
