Clark County Public Schools is seeking a new principal for George Rogers Clark High School.
Jamie Keene, who served as principal for the last two years, was recently announced as the district’s new Director of Innovation and Alternative Programs.
“I have truly enjoyed my time at GRC, but I am also very excited about this opportunity to continue helping the students and staff of Clark County Public Schools in a different role,” Keene said in a social media post. “I am looking forward to working even more closely with our community and helping meet the needs of our staff and students across the entire district.”
The position was posted on the district’s website last Monday.
The position description lists the following requirements:
• Holds a master’s degree and completion of one year of advanced graduate work beyond the master’s degree in school administration and/or curriculum.
• Holds a valid Kentucky certification for middle school/high school principalship.
• Has had direct experience in curriculum development as a teacher or administrator.
• Has the ability to develop a budget, exercise budgetary control, monitor the budget and maintain all necessary records.
• Has demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, school parents and community.
• Has demonstrated educational leadership ability.
• Has at least three years of successful teaching experience.
