The deadline to register for an absentee ballot in the upcoming Primary Election is fast approaching.

May 2 is the last day to register for an absentee ballot.

To do so anyone interested may request one and has two options to do so.

One can call the Clark County Clerk’s Office at 859-745-0280. Ext. 3 or register at govote.ky.gov.—select the link “Absentee Ballot Request” and follow the directions through the Absentee Request Portal to complete registration.

On Wednesday, May 3, six days of excused voting will begin. These are reserved for individuals who may have a unique circumstance for being unable to vote at alternative times, such as being out of town.

Individuals who qualify may do so during regular business hours.

From May 11-13, early voting takes place. Individuals may vote from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 11 and 12 and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 13.

Individuals may vote at their precinct or the Clark County Courthouse on Election Day.

Business hours for the Clark County Clerk’s Office are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Election Day, May 16th, voting times are between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
