Joyce Shirley Barnes, 94, wife of Dr. Glendon Barnes, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023. She was born to the late Clark F. McAlister and Elma E. Joyce Williams McAllister on December 16, 1928 in St. Paul, Mn. She was the office manager for her husband, Dr. Barnes, Chiropractor. Survivors include her sons, Dr. Robert Barnes (Kathy), Dr. David Barnes (Deborah) and Stephen Barnes; grandchildren, Sean and Kelly Barnes, Angela (Ron) Harrison; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Kennedy Harrison ; a brother, Dick McAllister. Services will be on Thursday, March 30 at 2:00 pm at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home with Bishop Al Gwinn presiding. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First United Methodist Church.
