GREGORY AUGUST MILLER HEY!! On a beautiful fall Kentucky afternoon, we unexpectedly lost our youngest brother and loving uncle Gregory too soon at the age of 62. Those who knew and loved Greg enjoyed his dry sense of humor and unique wit. He loved his family and had a smile and a hug that could turn any bad mood around. Greg loved dogs, especially his beloved lab Gus, and cared for many strays throughout his life. An avid outdoorsman, Greg took pride in his garden, sharing the bounty with everyone, and loved every single tree surrounding his cabin home. He most enjoyed the scenic and serene views from his cabin porch, which overlooked his Estill County property, and a beer or two at the local pub with his friends. Oh, he made a mean pot of chili if you could take the heat! We are truly heartbroken with his passing…. A 20 plus year veteran of the Madison County Post Office, Gregory is survived by his brothers, Edward Miller (Linda) of Newark, OH and Gary Miller of Winchester, and a sister, Marlene Mason (Silas) of Lexington. Also survived by nephews, (“nefews”) E. Scott Miller (Lindsay) and Claiborne Mason, and niece, Mary Elizabeth Lorenz (Andy) plus five grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Othel E. “Mutt” and Alma M. Miller and a niece, Amy Miller. A celebration of his beautiful life will be held at a later date. And if you didn’t know our Greg….HEY!! well, your loss. |
