The Winchester Sun has a new associate editor–and he is a familiar face to readers.

Warren Taylor was promoted to the position last week after serving as a Sun staff reporter since August 2021.

He will serve in the same capacity for The Jessamine Journal and The Harlan Enterprise.

A native of nearby Paris, Taylor previously worked as a staff writer at The Bourbon County Citizen-Advertiser and as public relations director for Bourbon County Schools.

He holds two bachelor’s degrees: one in journalism from the University of Kentucky and another in history from Georgetown College.

In his spare time, Taylor is an avid reader of historical non-fiction and fantasy novels, and is a die-hard fan of Liverpool FC, the Minnesota Vikings, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Kentucky Wildcats.
