George Rogers Clark’s wrestling team has that fighting spirit, leaving it all on the mat when the whistle blows, match ends.
“No real stand out matches or wrestlers,” Miller said. “Everyone wrestled tough and left it all on the mat. That’s all me and my other coaches can ask for.”
Miller offered praise for the spirit and heart of this talented Cards’ team.
“The season has gone great for our first year,” he said. “The kids who have stuck it out and continued to fight have shown true heart and have earned a lot of respect. I am beyond proud of them and the effort they have all put in. Wins and losses don’t define us, it’s the effort we give and the improvements we make daily that show who we are.”
Most recently, the Cards lost a close one (24-36) to Mason County. Cards’ next meet is at Franklin county on Saturday.
“It will be the biggest individual tournament our kids have seen so far with 23 plus teams in attendance. It will be a great test for us going into the post season next month,” Miller said.
