In other snow news, Lexington Avenue and Bypass Road are clear in Winchester tonight (Friday), but the roads near and far across Clark County are a bit… well… more snow and ice covered, so be careful. County road crews are doing the best they can — those folks have been working hard around the clock.
As most kids know, school was canceled today, but keep on top that homework because it’s not like the old days when teachers didn’t have email or web pages. Back then, a snow day meant a holiday. These days, eh, you better do your math homework.
Please keep pets inside safe because the cold weather is dangerous. Remember, though Lassie has fur, that doesn’t mean he or she can’t feel the cold.
According to the National Weather Service, tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 8. Wind chill values as low as 1. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph after midnight. Yuck!
