Roy Burdette Johnson, 77, husband of Sandra Reed Myers Johnson, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Paw Paw, Michigan, on October 19, 1944, he was the son of the late Harold and Elvina Klapp Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a retired computer technician, a devoted Christian, and a member of First United Methodist Church. He previously served for 20 years in prison ministry, R.E.C. Residents Encounter Christ and was active in the Lexington Emmaus Community. Roy was a proud United States Navy Veteran.

In addition to his loving wife of 42 years, he is survived by his son, Steven Johnson; stepdaughter, Stephanie (James) Frey; stepson, John Steven Myers; grandchildren, Steven Johnson, Maxine Johnson, Ricky Johnson, David Shropshire, Daniel Shropshire, and Brianna (Robert) Vornoid; great grandchildren, Angel Saccoia and Brayden Wilson; several extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roger “Joe” and William “Bill” Johnson.

Services will be at 1:00PM, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, 204 South Main Street, Winchester, KY 40391, by Pastor Farley Stuart.
