Trick-or-Treat is set for Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. in Winchester.
Winchester was one of the few communities in Kentucky that did not cancel festivities last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rochelle Wolensky, the director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, has said in interviews with numerous media outlets that she supports the return of the Halloween tradition as long as proper social distancing guidelines are followed.
Several local events will either be drive-thru or outdoor trunk-or-treat events.
There will be a drive-thru Halloween event at Heritage Park on W. Washington St. from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Anyone wanting information is encouraged to call Charles Etta Simmons at 859-749-9077.
The Trapp Trunk-or-Treat will also be on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fox’s General Store located at 1120 Irvine Rd. The event is hosted by Trapp, Ky Events and the local neighborhood watch.
Bypass Rental, located at 845 Bypass Rd., will host a Halloween Car Show and Trunk-or-Treat from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Central Baptist Church will host a trunk-or-treat event on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at its 101 W. Lexington Ave. location.
Landmark Baptist Church (1123 Ironworks Rd.) will have a Fall Fun Day on Sunday from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
