William “Bill” Robert Risen, 89, widower of Shirley Risen, passed away June 19, 2021.

He was born in Paris, Kentucky, on Feb. 16, 1932, to the late Owen and Bessie Risen. Bill served in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his spouse, parents, siblings, and a son, Robert “Bobby” Risen. Bill is survived by his children, Wanda Sparks, Elisa Risen, Charles Risen, Toni (Gerald) Holland, and Shannon Snapp (Clay); a sister, Wavelin Puckett; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main Street. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial is following the service at Lexington Cemetery.
