Clark County residents have a new trash hauler as of Monday, June 1. Those who use S&G Sanitation will now be serviced by Rumpke Waste and Recycling.

The switch was a decision by S&G owner Robert Griffitt, Sr., who is due for his retirement after a half-century of service.

“For 50 years, our family has proudly served Clark County homes and businesses, but it is time for me to retire,” said Griffitt. “Rumpke is a fellow family-owned company with local ties and I know my customers are in good hands.”

Prices will remain the same and S&G customers do not need to take any action. To ensure a smooth transition, Rumpke is following the schedule S&G had already established.

“Like S&G, Rumpke has been in the waste and recycling business for decades,” said Adam Rumpke, regional vice president of Rumpke Waste & Recycling. “For nearly 90 years, our family has been committed to providing friendly, reliable service. With our regional operations in neighboring Montgomery County, we are excited for this opportunity to lend our expertise to Clark County families and businesses.”
