Hearing on solar May 25
The Winchester-Clark County Planning Commission will have a public hearing on the industrial solar proposal on Tuesday, May 25, at Central Baptist Church, 101 W. Lexington Ave., at 6 p.m.
The hearing was originally scheduled months ago, but was postponed because of a question regarding the state’s open meetings law.
According to Rob Jeffries, two different solar ordinances will be presented, including one drafted by the Planning Commission itself. The other was put together by local law firm and city and county associates.
Those who wish to speak will be allowed three minutes each.
School board tonight
The Clark County Board of Education will meet tonight (Monday, May 24) at 6:30 to consider adoption of its 2021-2022 fiscal year budget, salary schedules, a virtual academy, a proposed summer construction projects list, discussion of the timeline for the superintendent search and several other agenda items.
Fiscal Court Thursday
The Clark County Fiscal Court’s regularly scheduled public hearing will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday. An hour before the regular meeting, the magistrates will have a special called meeting to discuss the county’s 2021-2022 fiscal year budget.
