Josephine Francis Tarr, widow of John Tarr, passed away on April 13, 2021, in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Jo was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on Nov. 14, 1923, the third of six children to the late Angela and Harry Francis. The family relocated to Winchester, Kentucky, in 1963, where she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She remained there until moving to Ashton Grove retirement community in 2020.
She is preceded in death by sons Joe and Jim, a daughter-in-law Barbara, and a granddaughter, Lucy Sanders. She is survived by sons Jack (Judy) and Jeff; granddaughters Jackie Sanders, Jennie (Scott) Gullet, Ajay (Cory) Kirk, and grandnieces Shea (Ray) Payton and Steph (Chris) Baker, plus four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home in Winchester on April 23, 2021, from 10-11:30 a.m., with a rosary at 11:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 12:30 p.m., with burial in the Winchester Cemetery.
