Harrison County beat George Rogers Clark 5-3 on Monday. An evenly matched first few endings changed to the favor of the Thoroughbreds as Harrison County put up four unanswered runs in the fourth inning. Keonte Back began the contest pitching for the Cards and went four innings, allowing five runs on five hits, while striking out six. GRC senior Hunter Heath entered to pitch in the fifth inning and remained strong, striking out three.
GRC tracked the ball well at the plate, recording six hits during the game. Colter Riddlebarger and Ben Dewalt both had multiple hits during the game for GRC. The Cards are on the road again on Wednesday at Great Crossing.
