Wanda Delores Stanfield, 80, of Winchester, widow of Carl W.
Stanfield, passed away peacefully at her son David’s home on Thursday,
March 11, 2021. A native of Clark County, she was born June 12, 1940,
to the late Walter and Dorothy (Conkwright) Ball. Wanda was a member
of the Franklin Avenue Church of the Living God. She is survived by
three children, Sue Banks (preceded in death by son-in-law David
Banks), David Stanfield and his wife Connie, and Joe Melton and his
wife Amy, all of Winchester; grandchildren Zak (Chelsea) Stanfield,
Jon Banks, Suzanne (Michael) White, Benjamin and Jacob Stanfield,
Sarah and Ashley Melton, all of Winchester, and Nick (Emily) Stanfield
of Lexington; great-grandchildren Zeke, Max, Ezra and Adaline
Stanfield, Jimmy White, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and
loved ones. Wanda also leaves a special running buddy, Evelyn Paynter.
Per Wanda’s request, there will be no visitation. Graveside services
will be held at the Winchester Cemetery on Thursday, March 18, at 1 p.m.
Special appreciation is extended to her doctors and Hospice for
their attentive care.
