The following criminal cases were resolved in Clark Circuit Court Dec. 3, 2020, with Judge Jean Chenault Logue presiding.

• Aaron W. Cole, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, sentenced to three years, probated three years with long-term treatment.

• John B. Sparks, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended three years, probated for three years, sentencing Jan. 7, 2021.

• Darrell L. Hawkins, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts), pleaded guilty, recommended one year concurrent; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended five years concurrent; first-degree persistent felony offender, dismissed; sentencing Jan. 7, 2021.

• Darrell Lewis Hawkins, first-degree promoting contraband, amended to tampering with physical evidence, pleaded guilty, recommended one year concurrent to previous case; first-degree promoting contraband, dismissed; possession of marijuana, dismissed; first-degree persistent felony offender, dismissed; sentencing Jan. 7, 2021.

• Dustin B. Montgomery, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, sentenced to one year; possession of drug paraphernalia, sentenced to 12 months concurrent; public intoxication, sentenced to 90 days concurrent.

• Travis Kemplin, receiving stolen property over $10,000, sentenced to five years, probated for three years with long-term treatment.

• Travis Kemplin, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, sentenced to one year, concurrent to previous case, probation granted with long-term treatment.

• Travis Kemplin, theft by unlawful taking, sentenced to one year, concurrent with previous cases, probated for three years with long-term treatment.

• Timothy W. McIntosh, first-degree promoting contraband, sentenced to one year; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, sentenced to one year concurrent, probated for three years with long-term treatment.

• Antonio D. Abrams, first-degree fleeing or evading police, sentenced to two years and one day; driving under the influence,, sentenced to 30-day license suspension, fined; probated for three years with long-term treatment.

• Kyle Thurman, probation violation, stipulated to violation, sentence completed.

• Mark Wayne Hooten, trafficking in a controlled substance – heroin (second or greater offense) (four counts), pleaded guilty, recommended 10 years concurrent; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (three counts), pleaded guilty, recommended five years concurrent; second-degree persistent felony offender, dismissed; sentencing Jan. 7, 2021.
