Maureen E. Brantigan, 76, wife of Richard T. Brantigan, passed away, peacefully in her sleep after a courageous fight with cancer, on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Albany, New York, on April 12, 1944, to the late Charles and Dorothy Cody Motta.

She was a retired registered nurse and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two children, Michelle (Kyle) Hendrix and Terri Beth (Richard) Krauth; four grandchildren, Elliott Hendrix, Katrina McGrew, Joshua Kruath and Autumn Krauth; great-granddaughter, Kendall McGrew; brother, Charles (Linda) Motta; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Joan (Lawrence) Miller and daughter, Denise Engdahl.

Heaven will be a little brighter because of her infectious laugh and great smile.

A memorial service was at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 248 South Main Street, Winchester, KY by Father Frank Brawner. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.

The family asks in lieu of flowers a donation be made to St. Josephs SVDP conference, 248 S. Main St. Winchester, KY 40391.
