Henry Clay Gibson, 74, of Mount Sterling went to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020. 

Henry, son of the late Boyd and Eva Gibson, was born in Salyersville, Kentucky, July 12, 1946. 

He has been lovingly married to Betty Jane Arnett for the past 53 years.

Henry worked as a Union Electrician, and is a retired member of IBEW, Local 369. 

He was a Spirit-filled believer who enjoyed listening to preaching and gospel music. 

Henry had a talent for growing bountiful flower and vegetable gardens and took joy in fishing from the pond behind his home.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Gibson, son Mark (Jennifer) Gibson, son Matthew Gibson, granddaughter Maekayla Gibson and brother Jimmy Day Gibson; as well as a host of caring nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Henry is preceded in death by siblings Rella Faye Gibson, Alta Mae Gibson, Edith Gray Gibson, Ellis Ray Gibson, Kenneth Jay Gibson, Bill Kay Gibson, Larry Nay Gibson and Gary Lay Gibson.

Services will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at Scobee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
