Soccer, like life, is full of ups and downs.

The Lady Cards faced off against Bishop Brossart Wednesday evening and stayed down the whole game.

The game was a rough battle fought by both teams, with Bishop Brossart scoring the only goals in the first half.

Lady Cards Coach Matt Abner offered a sense of urgency during his halftime talk, which did up the energy during the second half, but not enough.

Cards senior Leslie Hernandez managed to pull off a late goal assisted by Shelby Vaughn, making the final score 3-1, with Bishop Brossart taking the win and the title.

The Lady Cards finished up their season 11-2.
