— At 5:23 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a brush fire near the 95-mile marker on Interstate 64.

— At 12:23 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Trapp Goffs Corner Road.

— At 12:43 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Ford Road.

— At 10:06 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding on Paisley Court.

— At 11:53 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Kerry Drive.

— At 2:58 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Kiddville Road.

— At 4:48 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Irvine Road.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Patricia N. Gayheart, 48, was charged Monday with driving under the influence.

— Dylan Lee Dyer, 21, was charged Tuesday with second-degree fleeing or evading police.

— Stuart M. Spence, 29, was charged Wednesday with public intoxication, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

— At 6:54 a.m. Monday, officers were called to Byrd Avenue concerning a pit bull that attacked the caller’s dog and was running loose.

— At 9:07 a.m. Monday, officers took a report at the police department for a property damage complaint.

— At 10:40 a.m. Monday, officers were called to Hubbard Road concerning a counterfeit $20 bill.

— At 11:18 a.m. Monday, officers were called to Hart Avenue concerning a stolen handgun.

— At 11:23 a.m. Monday, officers were called to Pear Court concerning a stolen wallet.

— At 3:20 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Oxford Drive concerning a smashed windshield on a vehicle.

— At 7:54 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Hughes Avenue concerning an assault.

— At 8:11 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Hughes Avenue concerning a stolen air conditioner.

— At 9:38 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Apple Street concerning a theft of medication from a vehicle.

— At 12:34 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to North Main Street for an alarm sounding at a business and merchandise in the road.

— At 4:04 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Westwood Drive for a domestic disturbance. Dylan Dyer was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police.

— At 6:33 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Oxford Drive concerning a stolen phone.

— At 9:44 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Park Avenue concerning a stolen debit card.

— At 10:57 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Hidden Hills Way  after someone broke into a vehicle during the night.

— At 12:58 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to North Main Street concerning the theft of a purse from a vehicle.

— At 1:41 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Hays Street for a breaking and entering complaint.

— At 2:48 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Buffalo Trace concerning a theft of tools from a vehicle.

— At 7:09 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Ashland Avenue concerning a stolen air compressor.

— At 9:37 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Maryland Avenue concerning the theft of a necklace, sticker and temporary license plate from a vehicle.

— At 5:52 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Holly Avenue for an assault.

— At 6:22 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Hughes Avenue concerning juveniles driving a scooter up and down the road.

Accidents

— At 1:50 p.m. Monday, officers responded to an injury accident on West Washington Street in which Charles Bruton of Denny Avenue, Winchester, lost control of his motorcycle and wrecked. Bruton was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with possible injuries. The motorcycle did not strike any other objects.

 

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Halee Coots, 22, of Paris, was charged Oct. 8 with no seat belt, driving under the influence, endangering the welfare of a minor, no operator’s license and possession of marijuana.

— James McMillan, 29, of Two Mile Road, was charged Oct. 9 with public intoxication, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— John Sain, 20, of Frenchburg, was charged Oct. 11 with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

— Marvin Berry, 54, of Trapp Goffs Corner Road, was charged Oct. 10 with driving under the influence.

— Michael King, 18, of Dogwood Lane, was charged Tuesday with speeding, driving under the influence, instructional permit violation and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

— At 9:56 a.m. Oct. 9, deputies were called to Water Works Road concerning the theft of a wallet from a vehicle during the night.

— At 10:55 a.m. Oct. 9, deputies were called to Stonecrest Road for a possible burglary.

— At 4:37 p.m. Oct. 9, deputies were called to Flanagan Station Road after someone broke into a residence and took two televisions and a printer.

— At 4:17 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to Laura Drive concerning the theft of two solar-powered lights.

— AT 10:13 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to Heather Lane concerning an unauthorized purchase on the caller’s debit card.

— At 7:57 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to Kiddville Road for an overdose. Deputies found suspected heroin on another person on the scene.

— At 2:53 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to McDowell Drive concering a person making threats over social media.

— At 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to Vienna Road concerning a stolen trailer.

Accidents

— At 11:53 p.m. Oct. 10, deputies responded to an injury accident on Trapp Goffs Corner Road in which Marvin D. Berry of Trapp Goffs Corner Road lost control of his vehicle on a slick road. The vehicle went over an embankment and struck a tree. Berry was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

 

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— From Monday through Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to 49 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, seven respiratory cases and two overdoses.

— At 7:51 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding on North Main Street. It was a false alarm.

— At 3:05 p.m. Monday firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bypass Road.

— At 3:16 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Bypass and McCormick roads.

— At 3:56 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Washington and Second streets.

— At 6:29 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Gary Court.

— At 3:32 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding on Winchester Plaza. It was a false alarm.
