The Cards, entering the game at 6-1 for the season, had plenty of reasons to seek out another win, including the nine seniors who can see the end of their season drawing close.

The game consisted of 70 grueling minutes of scrapping, running and missed opportunities on both sides.

With around 10 minutes remaining in the game, the Cards seemingly realized that time was indeed running out on this season and this game.

Assisted by Leslie Hernandez, Julia Pohl got the momentum moving in the right direction with a tricky shot into a seemingly empty goal, putting the Cards in the lead.

The win was solidified with around five minutes left in the game when Allie Bush scored an unassisted goal after a mid-field solo run.

The Lady Cards came out on top 2-0, and are 7-1 for the season.

Nine seniors — Autum Brinegar, Allie Bush, Allie Eury, Caitlin Fike, Leslie Hernandez, Julia Pohl, Autumn Scott, Talen Spargo and Shelby Vaughn – were recognized.
