The George Rogers Clark High School volleyball team fought a hard battle at home against Wolfe County last week.
The Cards started strong, fell behind and came close to victory in the second set after a six-point unanswered run. Wolfe County pulled through in the end, winning the second set 26-24, giving them 2-0 match wins in the meeting.
The team honored its only senior player, Caroline Coleman, with flowers and gifts before the varsity match.
