The Phoenix Academy held their Title 1 Open House Monday, Sept. 28.
Despite the rain and inclement weather, it was their largest open house turn out in the past six years.
Students were lined up for two hours in this drive-through format allowing students to see their teachers, discuss any concerns or questions they may have and return home with a hot meal for their family from Don Senor.
Students and staff were thrilled to safely see one another and continue this yearly fall open house tradition.
The Phoenix Academy has been working closely with the community and their students this fall to provide a wrap-around approach in meeting their students needs through virtual learning.
With weekly Friday home visits, daily check-ins and bi-weekly virtual counseling sessions, they are prioritizing seeing their students as much as possible to ensure they are cared for during this time.
