Stephanie Desi, 48, passed away Sept. 13, 2020, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after a brief illness.

She was born on July 29, 1972, in Winchester, Kentucky, to Wilma Caldwell Desi of Salyersville, Kentucky, and the late Geza Desi of Sárospatak, Hungary.

She was a records clerk in the PACU at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Stephanie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working out, traveling, relaxing in nature and shopping.

In addition to her mother, Stephanie is survived by one son, Jeremy Hurt; one daughter, Shelby Taylor; one grandchild, Kyler Blayze Townsend; two sisters, Tina (Brady) Zimmerman and Lou (David) Saat; one brother, Joe (Teresa) Desi; fiancé, Chris Dykes and his children, Austen (Abbie) Dykes, Brayden Dykes, Rylan Dykes and Jaden Dykes.

A celebration of Stephanie’s life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at the Providence Baptist Church by Pastor Bob Sharp.

A bereavement meal will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at the home of her sister at 2053 Drumond Drive, Lexington, Kentucky.
