Leonard W. Meyer, 82, husband of Phillis King Meyer, passed away Sept.18, 2020.

Born Oct. 7, 1937, to the late Cleveland and Elizabeth Bush Meyer in Bracken County, Kentucky, he was a US Army veteran and retired from Rockwell International and Freeman Corp.

He was also former Assistant Scout Master for Troop 56 BSA for 25 years of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Along with his wife of 58 years, he is survived by a daughter, Clara Stairs of California; sons Jeff (Susan) Meyer of Tennessee and Michael Meyer, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews; sister Frances St. Claire; and sister-in-law Tracey King.

He is preceded in death by three sisters.

Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, Winchester.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Roy Jarman, Brian Murray, Charles Underwood, Jonathan King, Steven Day, Jayden Fox, Dustin Jarman and Lazz Castillo. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens on Mount Sterling Road.
