Students get more WiFi ‘pit stops’

Students who don’t have access to the internet from their homes may access at least 20 WiFi “pit stops’ at participating businesses, churches, schools and other public places.

Use of the following locations is for educational use only by Clark County Public School students using their school district-issued Chromebooks.

The facilities cannot guarantee connectivity or a specific amount of bandwidth.

— Kentucky Farm Bureau, 115 S. Highland St. (KFBFreeWifi) parking lot only, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

— Rowland Arts Center, 17 S. Main St. (The_Rac) inside the building only. Maximum capacity of 10 students. Masks required.

— Mansea Metal Inc., 925 Rolling Hills Lane (Mansea-Guest) parking lot only.

— Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 2020 Rolling Hills Lane (KCTCS-Guest, then sign their online AUP) parking lot, picnic tables, amphitheater, daily until about 9 p.m.

— Clark County Public Library, 370 Burns Ave., (PublicLibrary) parking lot only.

— NewVista Community Wifi (NewVista Community Wifi, sign splash page) parking lot only.

— Clark County Child Development Center, 41 N. Main St. (will receive directions upon entry) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

— Walmart Supercenter, 1859 Bypass Road (Walmartwifi_2.4) parking lot only.

— Antioch Christian Church, 6091 Muddy Creek Road, in the fellowship hall, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

— Creative Coffees Roastery (Roaster) inside or in the parking lot, 8 a.m. to noon in the building with three students maximum.

— Williams Agency, 103 N. Maple St. (Easyname) parking lot only, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

— Emmanuel Episcopal Church (EEC Main) front circle and rear parking lot only.

— Conkwright Elementary School, 360 Mount Sterling Road  (ClarkChrome, automatically joins on Chromebook), parking lot.

— George Rogers Clark High School, 2745 Boonesboro Road  (ClarkChrome, automatically joins on Chromebook), parking lot.

— Shearer Elementary School, 244 E. Broadway  (ClarkChrome, automatically joins on Chromebook), parking lot.

— Strode Station Elementary School, 1750 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive  (ClarkChrome, automatically joins on Chromebook), parking lot.

— First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 24 E. Hickman St.  (ClarkChrome, automatically joins on Chromebook), parking lot.

— The Greater Clark Foundation, 125 S. Main St.  (ClarkChrome, automatically joins on Chromebook), parking lot.
