It was a little late and a lot different than in years past, but the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce didn’t let a pandemic stop the agency from recognizing some of the community’s standout citizens and businesses.
In a virtual ceremony hosted at the Winchester Opera House Wednesday morning, the Chamber handed out its annual awards, which would have been presented at the annual banquet in May had it not been canceled because of COVID-19 restrictions.
The following awards were presented during the ceremony:
— Director of the Year: Bruce Manley
— Business of the Year: Clark County Farm Bureau
— Community Service Award: Dale Hatton
— Nonprofit of the Year: Bluegrass Heritage Museum
— Citizen of the Year: DeEtta Blackwell.
The Chamber live streamed the awards on its Facebook page at facebook.com/winchesterclarkcochamber.
