Three more virus cases reported Friday

On July 3, at 6 p.m., the Clark County Health Department reported three new positive cases of COVID-19. Of these, one is a 67-year-old female resident of the long-term care facility, Fountain Circle.  Two additional cases have also been reported in the community, a woman, 79, and a man, 43.

The department also reported that 17 residents of Fountain Circle have now met criteria for recovery. One additional member of the community has also recovered. Therefore, the Health Department is now working 47 active cases of the total 147 positive cases identified in the county.  Of these cases, 24 are residents of Fountain Circle, two are staff of Fountain Circle, and 21 are community members.

As of 4 p.m. July 3, Gov. Andy Beshear said there were at least 16,376 coronavirus cases in Kentucky, 299 of which were newly reported Friday.

Beshear also reported four new deaths Friday, raising the total to 585 Kentuckians lost to the virus.
