Geneva Vaughn Shoupe, widow of Clayton Shoupe, passed Friday. She was an 85 year old native of Jackson County, daughter of the late Earl and Bertha Baldwin Vaughn, a homemaker and member of Ark of Mercy Church of God. She is survived by 2 sons, Kyle (Earline) Shoupe and Glenn Vaughn, 4 daughters, Vickie Shoupe, Devonia Shoupe, Kim Combs and Elizabeth Walker, 8 grandchildren, Derick and Jason Marcum, Rebecca and John Combs, Nathan Shoupe, Tasha Lawson, Joe Curtis and Christina Curtis, 2 sisters, Loretta Thomas and Christine Alfano, and 2 brothers, Lillia and Frank Vaughn. She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Shoupe, 2 sisters, Datha Hobbs and Lucille Minton, and 2 brothers, Lee and Hubert Vaughn. Her funeral will be 1:00 Wednesday at Ark of Mercy Church with burial in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9:00 Tuesday and 11-1:00 Wednesday at the church.
