CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Randall C. Smith, 31, of 447 Colby Ridge Blvd., was charged Tuesday with disregarding a stop sign, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts), trafficking in a controlled substance, failure to wear seat belt, driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and failure to maintain insurance.

Reports

— At 9:03 a.m. Tuesday, deputies took a report concerning threatening text messages.

— At 5:28 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to 485 McCullough Lane concerning a person using the caller’s truck without permission.

Accidents

— At 7:19 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Paris Road in which a vehicle driven by Heather N. Hazard of Paris went off the road and struck an embankment. The vehicle hit a ditch and a driveway before going airborne. Hazard was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

— At 10:42 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 94 mile marker in which a vehicle driven by Andrew Leckie of Paintsville was traveling west when he hit debris in the road and went off the highway. His car struck another vehicle, driven by Maria V. Ramirez of Lexington. Leckie was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with a laceration on his head.

 

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 5:21 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Muddy Creek Road.

— At 10:49 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 2070 Hancock Valley Drive.

— At 2:02 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at 2886 Water Works Road.

— At 5:59 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at 4939 Iron Works Road.

— At 10:43 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident near the 94 mile marker on Interstate 64.

 

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— From Monday through Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to 25 general medical calls, six cardiac cases, two respiratory cases, three seizures, four strokes and four overdoses.

— At 3:07 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 40 N. Main St. It was a false alarm.

— At 11:21 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a garage fire on Linden Avenue.

— At 1:41 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to 625 Tech Drive for a smell of gas.

— At 2:02 p.m. Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident at 2886 Water Works Road.

— At 5:56 p.m. Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident at 4939 Iron Works Road.

— At 10:43 p.m. Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident near the 93 mile marker on Interstate 64.

 

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Tony L. Eller, 47, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Lola Martin Eversole, 41, was charged Monday with possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

—David Allen Farmer, 44, was charged Monday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Benjamin Franklin Larson, 36, was charged Monday with trafficking in a controlled substance, driving on a suspended operator’s license and no motorcycle operator’s license.

– James Edward Adkins, 41, was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

— Katrina Gail Caudill, 44, was charged Tuesday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

— Eric Brown, 34, was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

— Tiffany J. Carrington, 35, was charged Wednesday as a fugitive from another state and was served a warrant.

Reports

— At 9:17 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 16 Village Drive for a breaking and entering complaint after two men broke into a residence and a number of items were taken. James Edward Adkins and Eric Brown were arrested on multiple charges.

— At 1:34 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report concerning a stolen debit card.

— At 3:23 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report concerning a stolen debit card.
