Services at Salem Church
This Sunday at Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, Pastor Don Stanley leads the congregation in thinking about what it means to be “Called of God.” New church officers will be ordained and installed. Following the service the “Soup and Scripture” Bible study will center on Proverbs related to planning for the future. Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.
Services at First Christian Church
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 24 E. Hickman St., invites the community to join them and celebrate “The Baptism of the Lord” on Sunday, Jan. 12. The Anthem, “The Baptism of Christ” by Michael Bedford will feature the chancel choir. Holy Communion is offered each week, and all are welcome to The Lord’s Table. The Rev. Dr. Jerry Johns Jr. will bring the message based on Matthew 3:13-17. Nursery care available for children from infant to 5 begins at 9:15 a.m.; Bible study for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. and traditional worship service starts at 10:45 a.m. All are welcome to join for worship and all programs. Services at Forest Grove Christian
Worship services at Forest Grove Christian Church, 4733 Old Boonesboro Road, are at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. Sunday School is at 9:15 a.m. Sunday evening Bible study is at 6 p.m. Wednesday Bible study and youth groups meet at 6 p.m. Sunday worship service is broadcast on local cable channel 378 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 p.m. and Fridays at 8 p.m.
Services at Liberty Bible Church of God
Services at Liberty Bible Church God, 6615 Veterans Memorial Highway, are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday services at 10:30 a.m., with children’s church and nursery provided; and 6 p.m.; Wednesday night Bible study at 6 p.m. The Rev. Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 N. Main St., has Sunday services at 9 a.m. Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m. There is a contemporary service, First Fire, at 11:15 a.m. Trinity United Methodist Church Thrift Store is open every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Shepherds Church services
Shepherds Church Independent Full Gospel, 1107 Pioneer Drive, has Sunday services at 10:45 a.m.

Food pantry at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.
Services at First Presbyterian Church
Worship services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Adult, children and youth Sunday school classes begin at 9:30 a.m. downstairs. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Wednesday night services include Spirit Quilters at 5 p.m., learn how to quilt and help create prayer quilts for ill or grieving congregant; handbell choir meets at 6 p.m. Wednesdays and the choir meets at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
