WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— Over the weekend, emergency personnel responded to 35 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, four respiratory cases, five diabetic cases, one seizure and one overdose.

— At 3:21 p.m. Friday, emergency personnel responded to a wreck at 5160 Colby Road

— At 3:28 p.m. Friday, emergency personnel responded to a wreck at the 101-mile marker of Interstate 64 east.

— At 6:56 p.m. Friday, emergency personnel responded to a wreck at the 101-mile marker of Interstate 64 east.

— At 7:17 p.m. Friday, emergency personnel responded to a wreck at the 97-mile marker of Interstate 64 east.

— At 4:44 a.m. Sunday, emergency personnel responded to a wreck at Muddy Creek and Old Muddy Creek roads.

— At 4:50 a.m. Sunday, emergency personnel responded to a wreck at Jackson Ferry and Muddy Creek Road.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Charles K. Hall, 22, was charged Sunday with theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting) under $500.

— Kendra C. Jones, 28, was charged Saturday with buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense).

— Whitney N. Justice, no age given, was charged Sunday with no or expired registration plates and failure of owner to maintain required insurance.

— Robert Allen Nichols, 38, was charged Friday with buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and was served a warrant for court.

— Amy Marie Ross, 25, was charged Friday with leaving the scene of an accident (failure to render aid), instructional permit violations, driving without a license and second-degree wanton endangerment.

— Nelson Stepp, 53, was charged Saturday with tampering with physical evidence, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

— Jeffrey Thomas, 35, was charged Sunday with criminal possession of a forged instrument and receiving stolen property under $10,000.

— Robby Young, 43, was charged Saturday with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense) and was served a warrant for court.

— At 3:48 p.m. Friday, officers responded to 1025 Bypass Road concerning a bag of crystal methamphetamine found in the floor.

— At 10:56 p.m. Friday, officers responded to 300 C.G. Stephenson Drive concerning an assault.

— At 11:13 p.m. Friday, officers responded to 1478 W. Lexington Ave. concerning someone attempting to use two counterfeit $20 bills.

— At 12:26 p.m. Saturday, officers took a report of someone breaking into basement on Pendleton Street and stealing tools, a generator and clothing.

— At 1:29 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to 374 E. Washington St. concerning someone breaking into an Ale 8 machine and taking the money.

— At 3 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to 11 Hughes Ave. concerning a stolen trailer.

— At 6:04 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to 404 Royal Blush Court concerning someone lying in the road. Once one scene, officers discovered an elderly patient had fallen. Winchester Fire-EMS responded as well.

— At 6:15 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to 125 E. Broadway St. concerning an assault.

— At 8:10 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to 1129 W. Lexington Ave. concerning someone breaking into an apartment and stealing a dog.

— At 6:04 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the area of Mount Sterling Road and Veterans Bypass concerning possible human remains seen in the area. Police said the remains found were actually those of a dog.

— At 6:25 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the area of Fairview Road and Crawford Drive concerning a gunshot heard by neighbors.

— At 7:07 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to 1859 Bypass Road concerning shoplifting.

— At 8 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to 1859 Bypass Road concerning two customers doing gift card scam and stealing about $300.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Paul Luoma, 25, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and reckless driving.

— John D. Mullins, 39, was charged Monday with possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication and was served a warrant.

— Derek Lowe, 26, was charged Sunday with reckless driving, failure to produce insurance card, driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.

Accident

— At 6:54 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a multi-vehicle injury accident at the 97-mile marker of Interstate 64 east. According to the report, a 2002 Toyota Tundra driven by Kimberley Cotter, 54, of Mount Sterling, struck the rear-end of a 2012 Honda Civic driven by Allison Everman, 20, of Clay City. That wreck caused Everman’s vehicle to strike the rear-end of a 2008 Chevy Impala drive by Gregory Gibson, 54, of Salyersville. The report states traffic had been stopped because of a prior accident at the 100-mile marker of I-64 east. Cotter did not stop in time to avoid colliding with Everman’s vehicle. In addition to Cotter, Everman and Gibson, two passengers in Gibson’s vehicle, Mary Russell, 79, and Glenn Russell, 85, no address given, were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

— At 9:38 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to Hackberry Circle concerning a stolen Xbox.

— At 3:24 p.m. Friday, deputies took a report of unauthorized use of a debit card.
