10th Region basketball poll has Cardinals in second place

The first 10th Region basketball media polls were released for both boys and girls teams Monday morning.
The polls were conducted by Travis Scaggs, the sports director at WFTM Radio in Maysville. The boys poll had 15 voting media members from around the region and the girls poll had 14 voting media members. Each of the four districts had at least one media member vote in each poll.
The team voted as the best team in the region received 16 points while the team voted last received one point. The total number of points determined the final rankings.
Clark County finished second in both the boys and girls polls.
The boys team received four first-place votes and finished with 226 points. They finished behind only Bourbon County, who received 11 first-place votes and finished with 236 points.
The girls team received nine first-place votes and finished with 199 points. Bishop Brossart was the lone team ahead of them, finishing with five first-place votes and 200 total points.
