GRC takes third place in Central Bank Classic

George Rogers Clark traveled to Lexington Christian Academy to take part in the Central Bank Classic over the weekend.
The Cardinals began play with a matchup against West Jessamine.
GRC was able to pull out a victory against the Colts after trailing in the second half.
Jerone Morton was the leading scorer for the Cards against the Colts, finishing with 24 points on 10-19 shooting.
Lincoln Bush had a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Jared Wellman also finished with double-figure scoring numbers, posting 18 points.
The Cardinals advanced to the semifinals against McCracken County.
Clark County found themselves down at the end of the first quarter, but battled back to take a halftime lead.
After a low-scoring third quarter from GRC, the Cardinals battled back to take the game down to the wire.
Wellman helped lead the charge to bring GRC back, scoring 31 points and draining big 3-pointers late, but GRC fell to the Mustangs 77-75.
The Cardinals bounced back on Sunday with a 48-43 win against Lincoln County to secure a third-place finish.
Morton was named to the all-tournament team.
GRC will travel to Robertson County this evening for a matchup with the 10-2 Black Devils.
