Reed Johnson is a junior wing for the George Rogers Clark boys basketball team. Johnson brings energy to the Cardinals on both ends of the floor. Johnson hit a 3-pointer with two seconds left against Ashland to send the game to overtime.
QUESTION: What’s your favorite part about basketball?
JOHNSON: I’d say being a part of the team itself. Because in order for us to move forward it takes all of us working together in both games and practices to be successful.
Q: Did you set any personal goals before the season?
J: Mainly just to go to work every day and continue to improve on both ends of the floor.
Q: Do you have any athletes you try to model your game after?
J: JJ Redick, he’s a pure shooter. But for the record, I’m NO Duke fan. GO CATS!
Q: What’s your favorite memory playing basketball?
J: Without a doubt, it would be this past Tuesday vs Ashland. Hitting that shot is something I’ll never forget.
Q: Who has had the most influence on your basketball career?
J: I’d say my dad, mom and grandfather. They all play different roles, but they are always there for me.
Q: Did you set any team goals before the season?
J: Win district, region and in Rupp Arena so we can bring a state championship title home to GRC!
