CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Derek Carmickle, 41, of 288 Redwing Drive, was charged Thursday with driving under the influence (second offense), driving on a suspended operator’s license, careless driving and rear license plate not illuminated.

— Christopher Stamper, 36, of 141 Calmes Blvd., was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, careless driving, possession of open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, failure to wear seat belt, no registration receipt, no proof of insurance and was served a summons.

— Tonya Simpson, 47, of Frankfort, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence (second offense), careless driving, failure to wear seat belt, possession of open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and expired operator’s license.

Reports

— At 9:26 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 350 Log Lick Road after a person was bitten by a dog.

— At 6:52 p.m. Friday, deputies took a report concerning a vehicle stolen from along Interstate 64.

— At 11:56 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 213 Hickory Lane after someone broke into a storage shed and took several items.

— At 9:23 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 769 Dogwood Lane concerning a stolen vehicle.

— At 11:53 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 831 Ecton Road after someone broke into a residence and took several items.

— At 2:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 154 Killarney Drive after someone broke into a vehicle and took several items.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, EMS personnel responded to 34 general medical calls, eight cardiac cases, two respiratory cases, three diabetic cases, two seizures and one overdose.

— At 10:46 a.m. Friday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1465 W. Lexington Ave. It was a false alarm.

— At 12:17 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a building at 108 Rolling Hills Lane.

— At 4:44 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Bypass Road and Frontier Drive.

— At 6:16 p.m. and 7:03 p.m. Sunday and 1:51 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to alarms at 695 N. Main St. All three incidents were false alarms.

— At 6:42 p.m. Sunday, firefighters extinguished an illegal fire at Mutual and Winn avenues.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Amber Nichole Brandenburg, 32, was charged Saturday with theft by unlawful taking, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

— Rebecca J. King, 31, was charged Sunday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Ernest L. Knowles, 61, was charged Sunday with third-degree assault, alcohol intoxication and disorderly conduct.

— Alex Edger Slone, 35, was charged Friday with second-degree wanton endangerment, resisting arrest and was served a warrant.

— Jonathan Wayne Walker, 27, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence.

Reports

— At 1:14 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 9 Arlington Road for a domestic disturbance. Alex Slone was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 5:55 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a theft and an emergency protection order.

— At 1:42 a.m. Saturday, officers took a report for a child abuse complaint.

— At 3:03 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1500 Bypass Road concerning the theft of a firearm from a vehicle.

— At 7:01 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to Rural King, 951 Bypass Road, concerning a theft. Amber Nichole Brandenburg was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 3:49 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 12 Buckner St. for a person causing problems.

— At 5:58 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 25 Second St. concerning a person lying in the street. Ernest Knowles was arrested on multiple charges.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 10:50 a.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a possible vehicle fire at Lexington Avenue and Main Street.

— At 8:36 a.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Bunker Hill Drive.

— At 8:36 a.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Pine Ridge Road.

— At 9:27 a.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a cal on Old Log Lick Road.

— At 10:29 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to Muddy Creek Road for an investigation.
