Civitan football plays fun, exciting games

Civitan’s 2019 football season entered its second week of games last week featuring five exciting games.
On Sunday, Sept. 22, the 49ers took down the Steelers 14-8 the same day that the NFL teams collided.
Later in the day, the Packers and the Cowboys faced off. The Cowboys won 20-6, with JaMylyn Johnson scoring two touchdowns, Landon scoring another and Myles converting a two-point conversion. Ethon Haskinson scored the lone touchdown for the Packers.
In the third and final game on Sunday, the Raiders squared off with the Redskins.
Winning 12-6, the Redskins had two players each score a touchdown, Kenyon Larocque and Kameron May.
Tuesday, Sept. 25 saw two more games, the first between the Bengals and the Steelers which ended with a 14-8 victory in favor of the Steelers.
Timari Gaulden scored two touchdowns for the Steelers and Jackson Frick converted a two-point attempt.
The Bengals’ Cade Filthan got into the end zone and Lake Cruse capped it off with a two-point conversion.
In the final game of the week, the Redskins took on the Cowboys, resulting in a 20-14 win for the Redskins, their second victory of the week.
