Parents Night Out at Grace Bible Church

The youth group of Grace Bible Church will host a parents’ night out from 6 to 8:30 on Friday, Oct. 18. Cost is $10 per child ages 2 to 12. There will be games, a movie, popcorn and other activities. Proceeds from the event will support the group’s trip to Strength to Stand youth conference in January.

Services at First Christian Church

The Rev. Dr. Jerry Johns will continue a four-part sermon series Sunday, with the sermon being Eradicate Poverty of the Mind on Sept. 22 and Eradicate Poverty of Deeds on Sept. 29. Bible study for all ages at 9:30 a.m.; traditional worship at 10:45 a.m. with children and youth groups at 4:30 p.m. Holy communion is offered, and all are welcome to partake. Nursery care is available for children from infant to 5 years beginning at 9:15 a.m.

History night at Providence Baptist

Providence Baptist Church, 6543 Old Boonesboro Road, will host a history night at 6 p.m. Sept. 22. The minutes from the old church, starting from 1780, will be on display along with a short presentation of its history.

Services at Forest Grove Christian

Worship services at Forest Grove Christian Church, 4733 Old Boonesboro Road, are at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. Sunday School is at 9:15 a.m. Sunday evening Bible study is at 6 p.m. Wednesday Bible study and youth groups meet at 6 p.m. Sunday worship service is broadcast on local cable channel 378 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 p.m. and Fridays at 8 p.m.

Services at Liberty Bible Church of God

Services at Liberty Bible Church God, 6615 Veterans Memorial Highway, are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday morning services, 10:30 a.m., with children’s church and nursery provided; Sunday evening services, 6 p.m.; Wednesday night Bible study at 6 p.m. The Rev. Services at Central Baptist

— Trinity United Methodist Church, 307 N. Main St., has Sunday services at 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

— Trinity United Methodist Church Thrift Store is open every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shepherds Church services

Shepherds Church Independent Full Gospel, 1107 Pioneer Drive, has Sunday services at 10:45 a.m. All are welcome.

Food pantry at First Baptist

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Services at First Presbyterian

— Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Children, youth and adult classes begin at 9:30 a.m. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. All are welcome. The Rev. Ryan Bradney is pastor. — All people and pets are invited to a pet blessing service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, on the playground at the church. There will be a brief service, music, a Bible reading and a blessing for all who are gathered.

Date change for missionary workshop at Corinthian Missionary Baptist

The date has changed for a missionary workshop at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 37 Fifth St. The church will host a missionary workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, with Sister Angela Campbell, president of the General Association Baptist Women’s Missionary, conducting. Lunch will be provided. The church will observe Missionary Day on Sunday, Sept. 29, with services beginning at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served following morning worship. The public is invited to both events. The Rev. Ronald L. Burns is host pastor.
