The match was also senior night for three girls on the team: Joy Lisle, Molly Franklin and Hannah Curreri. The three girls all golfed in their final GRC match at Winchester Country Club, where they have all three been on the team for the past seven years.

“It was a beautiful day for golf,” head coach Scott Franklin said. “And it was a great day to celebrate the girls who have been on the team since they were in sixth grade.”

The Lady Cardinals won the match by a final score of 182-201.

GRC’s Molly Franklin had the best day of all the girls on the links, posting a 42 for the day.

Curreri shot a 43, good enough for second place and Aniston Culton came in third with a 45.

GRC’s other golfers for the match, Brenna Rose and Lisle, shot a 52 and 58, respectively.

The Lady Cardinals hit the road this weekend to compete in the KGCA All State Championship at the University of Kentucky Wildcat and Big Blue courses in Lexington.

They are set to compete in the 9th Region Tournament at Keene Run Golf Course at Champions Trace on Sept. 30.
