The Winchester Sun: What do you think about the city’s project on Lincoln Street? Plans call for the the city to purchase all properties on Lincoln Street, redraw the property lines for lots, widen the street and improve infrastructure.

— Julie Hall: “I love seeing improvements to the city and we all know Lincoln St needs improvements, but it’s sad seeing the city force people out of their homes. When you buy something, you should have the security of it belonging to you. You shouldn’t have to worry about the government taking it away. It would be nice if the new homes being built were going to some of the residents who don’t want to sell their homes.”

— Pamela Crawford: “I grew up on this street from when i was a baby and im 33 the street is not the best looking but its a place where so many elderly people still call home cause thats all they can afford i personally think they tear down vacant lots and build on them dont force elderly move to somewhere they cant afford and take a risk of becoming homeless in a yr or 2.”
