Lil’ Cards win Rebel Bowl

The 2019 6th grade Lil’ Cards football got off to a great start by winning the prestigious Boyle County Rebel Bowl against the Perryville Bulldogs.

The Cardinals were led on offense by a host of skills players including Montez Gay, Santiago Guerrant, Nehemiah Israel, Haddon Cecil, Robby Howard, Sebastian Anthony, Ta’Jada Hooten and Bryson Carr.

Gay led the scoring attack with a three-touchdown day.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Cards were led by defensive lineman Cody Gibson, Dylan Peck and Joaquin Morales. They held the Bulldogs scoreless and Howard added an interception late to put the game away for the Cards.

The Cards opened up their conference season in Richmond on Sept. 7 with a win against the Berea Red Devils.
