The George Rogers Clark girls golf team had another great outing this weekend at the Lexington Catholic Invitational, finishing in second place behind Great Crossing.
The tournament was held at the Thoroughbred Club at High Point in Nicholasville.
The team shot a combined 341, only 12 shots off of the first-place team.
Hannah Curreri shot a 79, good enough for a fourth overall individual finish.
Molly Franklin shot an 81, which was the fifth-best individual score.
Aniston Culton shot an 87, Breanna Rose shot a 94 and Joy Lisle shot a 108.
The team has two upcoming matches in the next week, both of which will be held at the Winchester Country Club.
The first is the GRC junior varsity tournament, which is set to tee off at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The next is senior night, which is set for Tuesday, Sept. 17th. The time has not yet been announced.
They will also be competing in the regional tournament at the end of the month, Sept. 30th, at the Keene Trace Golf Course in Lexington.
