WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Thursday, EMS personnel responded to 15 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, one respiratory case, two strokes and one overdose.

— At 3:56 p.m. Thursday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 64 near the 91 mile marker.

— At 5:50 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Lexington Avenue and Shoppers Drive.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Jaime Ariaga, 21, of 1361 Big Stoner Road, was charged Friday with driving under the influence, no operator’s license and possession of open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Accidents

— At 3:20 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Wades Mill Road in which a vehicle driven by Jaime Arriaga of 1361 Big Stoner Road had struck a mailbox and went through a fence. The driver was unconscious behind the wheel and smelled of alcohol. He was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Reports

— At 2:40 p.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a stolen debit card.

— At 6:02 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 1215 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a person who passed two counterfeit bills.

— At 9:24 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 221 College St. concerning an assault.

Accidents

— At 3:53 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an injury accident at 415 Magnolia St. involving a vehicle and a train. Virgil L. Neal of 455 Elf Court told police he was crossing the tracks at Freeman Corporation. Neal said there was a dump truck in front of him and he never saw the train. The train’s engineer and conductor told police they were blowing the train’s horn as it approached the crossing and the vehicle attempted to cross. The train struck the front of the car and knocked it off the crossing. Neal was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after complaining of pain in his side.
