Fairfield Park to add new playground

Children will soon have a new playground to play on next week at Fairfield Park.

Deborah Jackson, director of programming and marketing at Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation, said in an email the Fairfield Park Playground Build, with grant funding from the Clark County Fiscal Court and improvement funds from the WCCPR, begins next week.

Building crews will place posts April 17 and begin the official building of the Little Tikes playground April 18 and will finish the next day.

WCCPR officials said on their Facebook page the park has not had a play structure in it for several years, and it is excited about the new addition.

Fairfield Park, located on Arlington Street, currently offers a basketball court, playing field with a backstop, a swing set, a jungle gym and a shelter.
