The Engine House Pizza Pub launched its first-ever delivery service Wednesday.
Engine House, which is now owned by Morehead restaurateur Steve Williams, will offer delivery in a four to five mile radius from its downtown location from 4-9 p.m., general manager Cresta Micik said. The hours may change as Engine House figures out what works best.
“This is the first time we are ever doing this,” Micik said.
Engine House also added wings to its menu Wednesday, Micik said. It will offer hot, mild, honey BBQ and garlic parmesan wings.
The delivery service was something customers had been asking for, Micik said, and since announcing the news, she has been flooded with questions and excited messages. Over 5,000 people saw the Facebook post, she said.
“I think it is going to be huge,” Micik said of the delivery service.
If anyone is unsure of whether their address fits within the four to five mile radius, they can call Engine House at 859-737-0560.
While it started its the launch day of the delivery service with only one driver, Micik said a second driver will begin Thursday.
The delivery fee is $5, and delivery specials will change weekly. Micik said this week’s delivery special is a hot ham hoagie and a choice of a wedge or caesar salad for $13 and a 10-inch one-topping pizza for $10.
Micik said she encourages Winchester residents to order delivery and to also bear with the restaurant as it works out the kinks of the new service.
“Just be patient with us,” she said.
