CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Reports

— At 11:21 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to the exit 94 off ramp from Interstate 64 concerning a person passed out in a vehicle. A witness said the vehicle sat through five traffic light cycles while the driver was slumped behind the steering wheel. When deputies arrived, the driver was alert and said his vehicle had died. while searching the vehicle, deputies found a plastic bag with 0.95 grams of suspected heroin. The driver, Leonard Sparks of Jeffersonville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Monday, EMS personnel responded to 11 general medical calls, one cardiac case, one respiratory case, one diabetic case and one overdose.

— At 11:55 p.m. Monday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident at Iron Works and Goosey roads.

 

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 12:18 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Kiddville Road.

— At 2:07 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Glenway Road.

— At 7:28 p.m. Monday firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Irvine Road.

— At 11:55 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident and vehicle fire at Iron Works and Goosey roads.

 

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Brandon Lee Turner, 21, was charged Monday with possession of marijuana.

— At 4:01 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 109 Tyler Banks Court concerning a property damage and vandalism complaint.

— At 4:51 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 221 College St. for a domestic disturbance. Sherri A. Burton was arrested for fourth-degree assault.

— At 8:55 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a possible identity theft.

— At 8:36 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to Kroger, 1661 Bypass Road, for a property damage complaint.

— At 6:08 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1215 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a theft of laundry detergent and fabric softener.

— At 7:22 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 3 Memorial Park after someone broke into a residence. Nothing appeared to be missing.

— At 7:36 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1215 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a theft of food.

— At 11:47 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 4 W. Washington St. concerning an assault.

— At 12:26 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 40 Flanagan St. concerning a property damage complaint.

— At 5:20 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 87 Clay St. concerning the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

— At 6:03 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 154 Cherry St. for a property damage complaint.

— At 7:48 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 4 W. Washington St. concerning a counterfeit money complaint.

— At 10:24 a.m. Monday, officers were called to 36 N. Highland St. concerning a stolen motorcycle trailer.

— At 1:05 p.m. Monday, officers took a report concerning a stolen trailer license plate.

— At 3:56 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 508 College St. after someone broke into a residence and stole documents.

— At 4:35 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 1960 Bypass Road after a vehicle was damaged.

— At 5:49 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 225 Oxford Drive concerning a person making threats.

— At 9:24 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 250 Oxford Drive concerning an assault.

Accidents

— At 12:41 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to an injury accident on South Main Street in which a vehicle driven by Jackie L. Estes of 72 Fitch Ave. went off the side of the road and struck a utility pole. Estes was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center.
