CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Tra Lay, 27, of 8 Heather Lane, was charged Thursday with fourth-degree assault.

— Dominic Vancleve, 26, of 129 Buffalo Trace, was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence, speeding, reckless driving and license to be in possession.

Reports

— At 5:10 p.m. Thursday, deputies were called to 1101 Sugar Ridge Road concerning a theft of timber.

Accidents

— At 3:42 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Boonesboro Road in which Charles E. Hawkins of Richmond was traveling north on Kentucky 627 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a stopped vehicle, operated by Lona L. West of Richmond, at the intersection with Bobwhite Lane. Hawkins was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries. West said she would take herself to the hospital.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 3:44 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Boonesboro Road and Bobwhite Lane.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Thursday, EMS personnel responded to 14 general medical calls, one cardiac case, three respiratory cases, one stroke and one overdose.

— At 8:31 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1315 Enterprise Drive.

— At 9:10 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1101 Enterprise Drive.

— At 3:44 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Boonesboro Road and Bobwhite Lane.

— At 4:48 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Bypass Road and McCormick Drive.

— At 5:26 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 24 Kittison Drive. It was set off by food left on a stove.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Tyler Grant Abner, 26, was charged Thursday with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

— Florencio Alexander Espinoza, 27, was charged Thursday with second-degree assault.

Reports

— At 4:39 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to 27 E. Washington St concerning an assault. Florencio Espinoza was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

— At 2:27 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to the James Clark Judicial Annex, 17 Cleveland Ave., to speak with a person concerning an assault.

— At 6:29 p.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning an assault.
